Break
I was begging for one.
Parents who have had to work from home while trying to take care of kids at the same time this past month have been begging for one too.
Well, the universe sure was listening and gave me what I wanted.
A break.
A literal one.
I had just cleaned up the toddler tornado that hit the house that morning and put all of the Easter grass back in the baskets. I headed to the basement to put them in storage, missed the first step, and fell down the rest of the stairs. Verdict: Concussion and broken right proximal humerus.
As Kyle puts on my deodorant and attempts a ‘messy bun’ daily, we die laughing. Because the situation is just that - humorous.
I was on the verge of sharing with you all one of my proudest writing projects to date. It was so close to completion it hurts. While yes, it’s a pain in the neck (more like shoulder and elbow), it wont stop me from finishing. And once I do, you all will be the first to know.
So to everyone who has been affected financially, physically, and emotionally by this crisis, those on the front-lines, and to all parents on the verge of sanity, let’s keep pushing through and hanging in there.
Even if it’s one-handed.
